“Training Courses on the Safe Use of Lifting Platforms in Municipalities of Armenia”

Training courses on the use of lifting platforms provided to 16 municipalities of Armenia with the support of the Governments of Germany and Switzerland have officially started. The trainings aim to strengthen the capacities of municipal employees in operating lifting platforms in order to ensure safe access and exit for persons with mobility impairments on municipal stairways.

The trainings, conducted within the framework of the “Accessible Services for Equal Opportunities” program implemented by the “Hope House Charitable Center” Foundation, include both theoretical and practical components.

During the trainings, participants become familiar with the technical features of the equipment, as well as operational and safety regulations, while also applying their knowledge in practice.

So far, employees of the municipalities of Akunk, Abovyan, Hrazdan, and Sevan have already completed the training courses.

The initiative is implemented with the support of the Governments of Germany and Switzerland within the framework of a program implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Armenia.
