The “Equal Opportunities for All” training series has been successfully completed

The “Equal Opportunities for All” training series has been successfully completed. The final training session was held in Yerevan on August 18–19, with the participation of social workers from the Unified Social Service and the administrative districts of Yerevan.

Overall, 10 training sessions were conducted across Armenia, bringing together 200 staff members from the target institutions, including social workers, reception staff, nurses, and doctors.

Throughout the trainings, participants developed their skills in effective and inclusive communication with persons with mobility, visual, and hearing impairments. Particular attention was paid to the basics of Armenian Sign Language, and participants learned a number of professional signs applicable in the social and healthcare sectors.

An important component of the training series was also first aid training, through which participants had the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in providing first aid in emergency situations.

At the end of the trainings, target institutions received fully equipped first aid kits and Armenian Sign Language dictionaries, while participants received first aid manuals and certificates of participation.

The training series is implemented by the House of Hope Charity Center Foundation within the framework of the Women Empowerment for Wellbeing (WoW) programme, funded by the Government of Germany and supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
